Things that make you frown :(

I am all-for requiring reusable bags at stores and doing away with single use plastic bags. I have been BYOB to the supermarket since like 2005. But i really wish the grocery home delivery services would have stuck with paper bags. I almost exclusively do grocery delivery now and they just started putting everything in canvas bags. Wtf am i supposed to do with 5-8 new bags per week? I have a million reusable canvas shopping bags if anyone needs. Should I stich them into a quilt? Anyone need packable "buckets" for trail work? At least the paper bags are recyclable.

They can be donated to the food bank.
We also do delivery - they are $0.35/ea, it seems like the shopper is doing a good job at packing them.

Back to the land of cars and trucks passing you on the road 1 foot away from your handlebars. I see gov Beetlejuice did a great job communicating the new cycling safe passing law he signed last year... 🙄

Why is that the job of the governor? Not that I'm a fan of any politician. Driver's in NJ DGAF about cyclists.

Hey Flemingtonites @Robin and @GSTim - what are they building on the southbound side of 202 right before Case Blvd that has that ridiculously huge stone monument at the entrance topped by a clock?? All I see is a storage facility.

No clue but it's a monstrosity. Who needs a public clock anymore? There are like 10 that I can access at any moment in my car.

Yesterday I was driving my daughter's car to the store and I realized that there were no bags in there. I just took the hand basket that I was using to the car and unloaded the groceries. Put it in the cart return section. Perfect.

That's a great idea but it is almost perfect. Should have just thrown the hand basket in your trunk and use it every time you are going for a small purchase. I'm gonna swipe one too.

As a rule of thumb if it fits in the basket I can carry it with my hands, so no need to steal one from the grocery store. We've been using reusable bags since 2009 so I could not tell the difference anyway.

Looking forward to buying soap, water, toothpaste etc. by the pound using your own container, hopefully coming to NJ soon. I hate the ton of plastic that we have to recycle every months!
