Update, it didn't hold up. Crapped out after only 1400 miles, started skipping gears and acting up. Replaced today with an original Sram and all is well.
My old Sram lasted me over 4000 miles, so I better stick with that.

I just can’t get along with the DHF on the front. I prefer a tire with transition knobs that allows me to ride the in between of all in and all out. After my debacle with kenda, I went on the hunt. I highly preferred the consistency of the Kenda Hellkat to the DHF in the turns, meaning the felt the same at any angle. But their QC is a joke…

The WTB seems to have a similar pattern with very good reviews in the terrain that I frequent. And 62 bucks isn’t a bad gamble…

I'm very curious as to how you will like the mullet setup. I built up my SJ Evo a couple weeks ago and I'm loving it as a 29er but I suppose I am mullet curious...
