My 31/31 efforts didn’t get off the ground as expected. Rental bikes and interim storage didn’t work out.

21+/31 here I come.

Pretty cool that my town is building a boat launch.

Also saw this and thought how awesome my front porch would be to have that with a little kicker at the end.

Hoping for the 21+, but not confident. Somehow never made it out of the house on Sat, so already a day behind.

July 2 - Day 1

Still with a glimmer of hope I might do the Sheduro, so I'm still riding the Megatower.

Since the ride was only Tom and I and he had heard there was a lot of blow down from the last storm, we decided to pack saws. This was log clearing #1.

Turtle spotted. It was gently moved off the trail since it was near the bottom of a descent.

We came across this pile of cut up tree fall. As if someone had the time to cut up the branches, but ran out of time to clear if off the trail. So we cleared it.

I did not make it out if the house Yesterday despite the threatening rain that never came. I probably could have went out later afternoon but my legs were stinging a bit and thought it best to rest for the next 2 days if any riding was possible. I went all in on the group ride Saturday assuming today would also be a washout but it was anything but.

I had no real plan for today until I got a text at like 4pm yesterday from one of the groups I don’t often get to ride with. 60 miles around Green township was too tempting and I got a promise not to get dropped since these dudes are totally faster than me.

Just as I left this Morning to drive 15 minutes north it was a short Downpour and then I drove into partly cloudy and dry roads !

it got so hot and humid the last hour but it was such a great route and group I was never too deep in the red at all due to my perfect drafting skillz 🤪 (aka wheel sucker).

Not only happy to get a ride in today but even happier to get a ride like this in today which is a bit more up tempo than usual for me.
