Going Long and Hard.

Surprisingly sore and dehydrated today. Probably should’ve stopped to eat and refill my bottles at some point yesterday 😂

So, recovery day…

Did this loop up there in the gravels. Uploaded Ryan’s file to continue testing the routing features of the Karoo. They pushed out some updates that I believe made the unit not only work, but be cool somehow.

Paulinskill was a slopfest so the last 25 miles were a drag.

Oooh. Yea I bet the end of that was quite the slog! Awesome route though eh? How’d you like the road that doesn’t exist leading to Dingmans?

I’ve done this basic route a few times, I just followed your section from the top of Sussex to the McDade. I really liked that weird abandoned road right before the bridge, I’m gonna add that in from here on out!! The Paulinskill was mud from start to finish, maybe like 100 dry feet all in 😂

Ahh yea instead of getting killed on 206, I like to go behind Culver’s and then take the abandoned road after Layton. Good for you staying on the Paulinskill. I probably would have cut that.

Woke up to a flooded basement, again. Luckily I’ve arranged all of my stuff in a way that nothing important gets wet anymore, but it cuts out my morning gym session. Blah.

Commute in was a mess with all the flooding, lots of deep puddles everywhere. I went full Rando and used zip lock bags inside my socks because it felt like that kinda day.

Windy AF for the ride home and lots of broken sticks in the shoulder, but I want to seriously thank this Roubaix for giving me a huge part of my life back.

Glad to see glossy paint is back, that's one hot color. I haven't been shopping but it this a trend for new bikes?

There is some color in the lineup but most of it is matte and safe. Surprisingly almost everyone wants a black or white bike, anytime I lead with the louder of 2 options I’ll get shot down.

They do the STR in the same green now. One of my coworkers has it and it’s so dope. And Dennis just got a metal flake purple Chisel. But the S-Works STR is plain white now, lame. S-Works Tarmac, white, lame. S-Works Aethos, matte black. Stumpy, black or white, lame. Whoever picked green for a model definitely got fired the next day but I’m so glad they went out on a limb for me 😂
