This is a charity ride ... January, and no I don't think there is a limitHmm, think I need a fitness goal. When do sign-ups start and do they sell out? Going on a two week cruise in January and will try to ride indoors most days. I'll do the 70, but to finish vs being competitive...
Yep, using the word competitive very loosely. Can ride with a hard tail or does it need to be a bike with funny bars? This is a charity ride ... January, and no I don't think there is a limit
No rules. But I wouldn't ...Yep, using the word competitive very loosely. Can ride with a hard tail or does it need to be a bike with funny bars?
Please do this. Maybe then I can survive. As long as I don't sit on my butt all winter
prob not even 50% torture on that setup. It’s a lot more road than gravel (well, the 50 was). You’ll probably be fine. Disc or rim brakes?Curious about the gravel sections , would a steel road bike with 30c tires survive? I need some motivation but not if it will be pure torture, like 50% torture is acceptable lol 😆
Yes, do it. The gravel is not chunky. Misery loves company and I am registering as soon as it opens.Curious about the gravel sections , would a steel road bike with 30c tires survive? I need some motivation but not if it will be pure torture, like 50% torture is acceptable lol 😆
There is still time for NBD...I'm thinking about it but Its gonna be a long shot lol
lol yup MKF is the reason we bought gravel bikes last year! There is still time for NBD...
I did it on steel with 28s and no flats. It’s more than 50% torture if they always use the same route.Curious about the gravel sections , would a steel road bike with 30c tires survive? I need some motivation but not if it will be pure torture, like 50% torture is acceptable lol 😆
The ride was created when 25’s were considered beefy tires and if you had 27’s you felt like cancellera on the dirt. Also when 11/27 cassette was like holy low gearing. So take that for what it is worth.Curious about the gravel sections , would a steel road bike with 30c tires survive? I did the original battenkill on 23's at 100 psi without issue 😆The ride was created when 25’s were considered beefy tires and if you had 27’s you felt like cancellera on the dirt. Also when 11/27 cassette was like holy low gearing. So take that for what it is worth.
Can confirm. Goat hill road owns me.Tire size does not matter on the climbs. You will need good hiking boots!
And Pickle Juice!
