Gravel Rides- Schedule and Share

Figure this would be a good way to schedule rides and share our experiences with others.

I'm hitting Columbia Trail tomorrow, I'll post time in the AM when I have a better idea. Gonna make a stop at Long Valley Pub on the way back. Should make the return headwind that much more challenging!!

Lots of PRs for me and @GSTim; two people riding together, race, etc and whatnot. 😆

Got in for our scheduled stop as well

In all seriousness, that is the best way to ride the CT. Take turns pulling so you get a break.

The only problem is as the days get nicer the trail gets way busier. Usually full of old people walking down the middle of the trail with earbuds in. They don’t hear my Garmin bell and get really cranky when I pass them at 20mph. 😂

We kept it fair and rode side by side. 😬

Yea, if I'm spending coin on a bell AND using it, don't go getting pissed off with me when I zip past. 😆

Where is this stop?
Long Valley Brew Pub, just off the CT

I’m not anti ebike but The riders on those bikes from Amazon with the high handlebars no pedals and music playing should have a lane in the actual river. Would make it more challenging.
Those are the most dangerous riders. Some of those dudes just weave the walkers at max speed.

Once this e-bike regulations hit, I guarantee you see local police handling out tickets at the CT.

Sorry back to topic. Go do some gravel rides.

Yesterday as I was walking my, dog saw a kid doing a wheelie down the middle of the street almost hit a car head on and then ran a stop side. At least he had a helmet on to keep his brains in his head for the viewing if he would have been hit both cars. It was one of those non-pedal bikes.

Well... the issue is those are NOT e-bikes.

In the newest proposal of the law being pushed through all the advocacy groups, those will be the bikes taken off the list and bikes we sell in our shop will be lumped with Surrons. I talked to Sandy at length and he was certain the split will be based on speed and not throttle. But that’s for a different thread.
