What beer are you drinking RIGHT NOW?

How is that? Clear bottle right?

Yep, clear bottle. They sell large singles and 4 packs. I am a big fan of the regular, oak aged, I&G and when I attended the AC Beer and Music fest I had the opportunity to try the rum cask. When I came back I bought a few of the rum cask bottles and this is the last of them. I suppose the rum cask can have a sweeter taste to it? I think thats a good way to describe it. Either way, its an excellent beer. I think I might like this one a little better than the regular one.

Fwiw, I (nor the few guys I know who tried it) did not like the whiskey cask. I'd stick to the oak aged and/or rum if you're going to give them a shot.

The dude at the liquor store told me its made by firestone. Its pretty damn good.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1335833240.508932.jpg It starts off with a malty/ smokey flavor then finishes hard like maple. After taste stays around for a while. Over all a good tasting flavor beer but more than one bomber and you'll hate it

Glad someone took one for the team with that...

Last night:
Working through the stock of B-22 bombers and Lagunitas Wilco Tango Foxtrot came up in the rotation.
WTF indeed. It was pretty meh- tasted like a concentrated Bass,
had to break out the frosted pint glass to get through it.
Keep walking.

good stuff, I think they stole Wobbegong's recipe though. Hard to tell them apart.

Hop notch. From some brewery in Utah. I give it a solid B-B+. It an IPA. Pick it up if you see it. Definitely worth a try.

Last night: Saison du Buff on tap at Salt. This is a collaboration between DFH, Stone and Victory breweries. Damn tasty and interesting beverage.
Not certain I could have more than one in a sitting, but definitely worth a try.
Had some nice typical saison characteristics, decent hopedness, and then mad taste of grass. I almost don't want to look it up to see what I was tasting,
it read like spring grass to me.
Also sampled Avery White Rascal and Victory Braumeister Pils.
Liked the rascal- a nice tasty white ale. Good spice and nice balance.
Pass on the braumeister- nothing going on there. I like a nice crisp pils, this wasn't it- tasted pretty flat to me, and I don't think it was a bad tap.

Now: Mendocino Bock. Nice spring beer- little sweet as they should be, and on the lighter end of the spectrum.
It tastes like more.

Jmanic - thanks for the review on that saison. I just bought a bottle and it is sitting in the fridge. I read a course reviews and got a little sketched but it sounds like one bottle will do!
