kinda funny, i think i have intermediate riding skills, with the fitness of a sloth.

Yep, lock it up. 80 to 100% bling or spandex is pro, 50 to 80 intermediate and less beginner.I thought skill level was determined by how much you spent on your bike...Or was it spandex?
how does one go about, or even evaluate your own or someone skill level on a mountain bike.
what do you consider a beginner rider, vs intermediate, or even advanced? How good do you actually need to be to ride at each level respectively?
