Nassau Group Ride 5/26

Yes. They have great beer on tap and really good burgers. It's a great spot with a couple tables outside in front which would be good to sit at after a good ride.

Bumping this up, so don't make any plans for Saturday afternoon this holiday weekend!

Hoping for a great day. Weather wise.

As stated above, we will meet at 9AM at the main lot.

If there is any interest,. I can kick off an advanced ride at 8AM where we will meet at the Columbia Trail lot, hit the newer pump track stuff (if it's clear), and then venture for a quick ride through Voorhees and then make it to Nassau just in time for the main all-skill-level, all inclusive group ride.

Let me know if anyone wants to do this. I need firm confirmation. And we need to be wheels down at 8AM to make sure we're at the Nassau lot at 9.

Also don't forget Lunch at Circa afterwards. Which as I mentioned is MTB'r owned and a huge advocate of the trails in high bridge, so let's show him some love and have a good turnout.

See you Saturday.

The weather looks perfect for Saturday's ride. Hopefully you can join us to kick off the official start of summer wknd.

We will probably have to split the group if we get a large turnout. Post up if you are familiar with the trails and are willing to lead.
Thanks!

I am thinking of excuses to bail on the hike and come to this ride. Define advanced ride please 🙂 i.e how many miles and is it a race pace pinned heart rate, or just constant pedaling to get from point A to point B?

Just steady pedaling. No pinned HR.
We'll begin with the flowy stuff in the Columbia Trail which lot is easy, but then we climb (and climb and climb) up to voorhees, do the observatory stuff, loop back and down to the Columbia trail. Where it's an easy ride to Nassau.
I'd say 5 or 6 total miles.

Thanks. That doesn't sound too bad. I mean I don't know the climb, so I will eat my words, but 6 miles in an hour of climbing/techy stuff is doable so add in the easy Columbia trail and it sounds balanced 🙂 All I need to do is commit. If I am going to, I will let you know.

I've got a kid thing that day - so I'll wish you all a great ride. Good stuff out there.
It is SS friendly if you are looking for a reason to go that way.

@jShort - last time i was there, I couldn't find that old foundation near the trails on springside.
Was there a re-route because that trail got too close to the houses back there? or was I just having a mental block,
or maybe imagining that they were there?
