Fat bike recommendation

yes Facebook

I don't Facebook so I can't see anything in that group, but I would possibly be interested. What size is it? Can you PM me details and some pics? I want to make sure it's not too green for me.

You already have a fat bike. What improvements are you looking for in an additional one?

So it is not a case of better frame or suspension, just adding to the numbers.

Yeah, I'm not really in the market for another fat bike, but I'm also not not in the market for another fat bike.

I'm assuming @Leftymuk's bike doesn't have suspension, and there is no better suspension than the Mastodon that I've already got 😉

So the fat bike group is say, 45% hardtail 45% rigid and 10% full suspension?

I'm not really sure how the percentages break down, but I would think it's not split evenly between rigid and hardtails. I would guess that rigid is a lot more common.

What about frame material?

Mine is carbon, mainly because the year that I bought it the carbon one came with a 150mm front wheel/fork and was only a few hundred dollars more. I figured it was worth the extra money and I also figured I would want a suspension fork. To be honest, I can't believe that I haven't killed this frame yet.

Thanks Jim. I'm curious about these bikes and if it would put me in the woods more often than my non fat mtb.

I've bought a few of these frames in Med to build up for my son and a spare. I have ridden the Mediums and I'm 5 11.5 so agree with all above, a big medium. I'm a fan of the frame and RSD definitely is responsive to their customers.
