Recommend me a Hardtail !!!

Buy my ROS...it misses a couple of points, its not new, its a small and its a 29er but its really fun and you can run a 140mm on it. Oh did I mention it was STEEL!!!!! it in the bikes for sale.
It is taking every nerve in my body not to PM you about that bike, haha. I saw it this morning and it f’d my whole day up.

So I just realised 180mm is way much, 120 to 160 is more like it. I've been riding for quite awhile. I ride mainly single track but I dont shy away from jumps or challenging/fast lines. Trust me I wish I had 1500 to drop on a bike.
I've seen the Timberjack havent looked into it yet.

I don't think you really really answered original JDurk question.

Where do you currently ride? Where do you plan on riding?

What do you currently ride?

Every bike has a place imo
Can't really recommend a bike if we don't know how it will be used.

Sorry.... clayton park, mercer county park, 6 mile, Baldplate, Nassua

Yeah. I'd go with TimberJack since you say that. Seriously. 🙂

You're not looking at parks that need a long fork. And if you really want a fork more than 120mm, you're looking at Full Suspension anyway. What you will do well with is short chainstay lengths, which the Timberjack has. And medium, because the bike is awesome with adjustable rear chainstays.

Timberjack comes with great geometry and pretty good parts. Nothing on the bike will really need to be upgraded. It's why everyone tells you to go for that bike.

If you want new, i agree timberjack is the way to go. Will definitely find a better-spec'ed used bike though if you're ok with used. Check here and PinkBike. And for those parks, 100-120mm fork is enough (and you won't find many hardtails with longer travel anyway). My hardtail is the Specialized Pitch (which is their entry level) but every part has been upgraded pretty much. I've been riding that thing everywhere and loving it. Definitely get a dropper post.

I don't know Mercer or baldplate but for 6Mr, Clayton and Nassau, I can imagine the smaller wheel size to be more fun. But... If you are thinking about riding more technical trails later on, you might want to think about a 29er for the better roll over.

why is sourlands missing 😉
will take you on the tour once we are allowed to actually meet people at a park.

I new I missed one. I havent road there much, everytime I was there there was a ton of dog walkers and hikers but I cant blame them.
