I decided not to have the kydex come half way up on the sides to avoid the issue you're are having. Used a heat gun directly on the kydex and slammed it into place. I would say it's about 80%. Not hurting anything on what I rode today. Bike will be dirty but I would say it's good. Should be even better this afternoon. Puddles where they should be.
