Work weekend was a success. We had 11 volunteers over the three days and got about 2/3 of the trail dug. Go ride it and let us know what you think. There is a new rock drop line if you are heading downhill with the stream on your left.
This coming Friday through Sunday (Oct 3-5) we will be digging the reroute on Cascade (Purple).

I’m happy to report that this new trail is now officially open. I’ve updated it on Trailforks. In the end it took volunteers 10 days to get the work done and I estimate it took something like 300+ collective hours. I learned a ton about trail building through this effort and am excited to get...
Great success today. MEVO crew joined the RAD crew so we had a total of 11 people. We got a ton done. Most of the turnpiking on the new trail is now complete. All that remains is more bench cutting. We’ll be back at it next Sunday as well! Details to follow.
Work continues on the new Yellow trail reroute. We will be digging side hill and working rocky areas.
Meet at Saffin Pond at 9am for the short walk to the worksite. Tools and PPE will be provided. Bring a lunch and plenty of water. Be sure to RSVP to karl@jorba.org so the proper amount of...
Still plugging along on this new trail. Sunday and Monday we had the MEVO crew onsite to do some pro building and help me develop my own skills. We cleaned up the first two rocky areas and got a ton of side hilling and rockwork done on that first punchy climb. Have two more work trips planned...
It was great to meet everyone yesterday! I don't usually ride in groups but I'm a convert! That was super fun! The post ride hang with tasty beverages made it even better =)
So stoked for this ride on Sunday! We have lots of great trail upgrades planned for MDR in the coming years. I'll have a sign up sheet there so you can get on the trail crew mailing list for planned dig days if you want to be part of the crew. (or DM me if you can't be there)
Parking is at the...
I forgot to follow up on this! We got the trail “unofficially” open. It’s easy to follow now. We still need to do a bunch of bench cutting and shore up some of our rockwork but it’s rideable. Keep an eye out for future dig dates. Once we can officially open it I’ll add to Trailforks.
