  • Joe! I was clueless! I didn't even recognize you. So many people tried to help and yanked and pulled on the bike and the carbon was turning into powder around the BB and I knew if I didn't get that sucker out nobody would. I did get pretty pissy about it, sorry. It dropped again in the flats on Sunday so I expect the cable is shot.
Ouch! I know about that stuff. Such sweet animals, but they don't know any better. My 25lb puppy slammed right into my bad arm cause he was so happy to see me. I saw stars on that one.
I am doing just awesome!! Thanks for asking.
I hurt like hell and still feel like I've been hit by a truck in lots of places, but I saw the ortho today and he said rotator cuff is OK!!! He said I mashed the crap out of it but tearing was minor and in the collarbone area, hence the rib, shoulder and side pain. Said I still had good strength and gave me exercises for self-PT.
I'm glad I waited a few days before seeing him, cause a couple days ago he would have called for the MRI and possibly more. Follow-up in 3 weeks:)
I was going to suggest that the northern faction hit Allaire for the am ride tomorrow... if the weather holds. What do you think? I'll be happy to post it, maybe we can get Rob and co. to take the hike. With the ice, RW is a busted collarbone(or worse) waiting to happen.

I do have to verify that I can have that much kid-less time on Saturday. Sunday, I have students at 11:30 and 12:15 and if I no teach, I no have money for biking and beer;-)
If you want some really good all mountain riding you have to ride the yellow trail in ringwood. It is not a bike trail but a lot of people ride there. Park at the "Top of Skyline" parking area. Go right on cannonball. Follow Cannonball to Yellow. Have fun and be safe it is some hard stuff.
