I concur about the sleestak. They don't seem like they should work nearly as well as they do. I wish I bought 5 pairs last time around because mine might have one season left if I am lucky. I keep hoping one last forgotten batch shows up online for sale, but seems unlikely.

Got out for another little windswell yesterday. Similar to the last swell but not lined up quite as well. Still fun.

I rode yesterday before stuffing my fat face and the trails were in nice shape. Moved a few big branches, but guessing they dropped in the 24 hours prior....nothing major to report. We had a pop-up storm Wed, but there were no signs of that in the trails.

You mention "beads in center of the rim". Do you leave it like that when trying to inflate? If so, try this extra step. Before inflating pull both beads of the tire out towards the bead seat of the rim....don't leave them in the center channel. Just sort of pinch the tire on each side and do...

I essentially do the same thing but with one like this. No tape needed, just slide a piece of vinyl tubing (fish-tank air hose) over the end and over the valve stem with core removed and good to go.

Surfed some 2-3’ windswell yesterday right in front of one of the Surfline Cameras. Using the rewind feature to look back at some of my rides and I saw this one. Just as I jump off, a sea creature jumps up in the background. Kind of neat. Not huge, but the surf definitely didnt suck yesterday 😀
