Hey all - hope someone might have a recommendation for a local Euro shop that can repair a DSG (dual clutch) Audi transmission. I just got a call from the dealer - they suggest replacing the trans, at a cost of $13K!! They state that Audi guidelines would prevent them from performing a repair...

it's held up just fine for me - super easy to apply and sticky. but yes the residue is literally impossible to get off no matter what solvents I have thrown at it. fortunately it sticks so well, i just ignore all the residue and apply fresh tape on top when needed without issue.

can the picture be shared here? i'm sure he's a local - maybe a neighbor or acquaintance of someone who is on the boards. Could be that a conversation and the knowledge that his work is no longer anonymous is all that's needed to put an end to this.

what parts of Mahlon did you get to? anything on the WMA side or just Mahlon proper?

last time i had too much noise coming from my drivetrain in bigger cogs it was b-tension.. can't tell how tight the gap is in that video but may be worth giving that a little more room and see if it helps
