How Is Everybody?

Hi everybody, how are you? When the weather gets nice again, I’m going to check out the trails on Indian Purchase Road in Readington Township and I’ll post about it and post photos that I take.

Hi everybody, I hiked a little of the Indian Purchase Road Trail today. I didn’t go very far, it was too wet and muddy. I went to where the trail turns left toward Dreahook Road and goes down by a small stream. Here are the photos I took.

Hey @Brian, I was thinking of you today as I climbed out of RV from the eagle trail to the cush lot via the straight-up/straight down trails....
it was painful - incredibly steep, and icy on the way down. I'm def not in shape to do that, and didn't have my hiking poles w/a 35lb pack!

Check my Strava if you get a chance. recommendation, avoid at all times of the year.

Glad you got over to that trail head. There is another down the street - might avoid that wet area.
It's off Creek Rd. Or going by the name of it, maybe not 😉

Good morning everybody. How are you? Last summer, I followed the red blazed Cushetunk Trail in Round Valley past the Trail Closed Sign at the 6 mile point. The Cushetunk Trail in that section goes down close to the reservoir and then goes all the up to the top of the mountain. The Trailforks website lists that climb as Eagle Ridge Connector. That climb is insanely steep! I got halfway up that climb and gave up, I was exhausted!

Hey Brian! - There is 1 tree across the Cush Trail before that climb - there is a go-around if you head back in.
stay on the lower Trail and walk out to the fence that prevents access to the north dam area. Climb there, it is more of a switchback.
Then walk the ridge. Still need to go back down to the parking lot - the ridge trail between eagle connector and the white trail is very rugged, and hasn't been cleared in 3 years. it is on my list!

Cheers !

Have you been out the back trails of pickell park?
They go to the Powerline, then up to the ridge - again steep, but not as bad as the eagle connector.

Hi. Yes, I walked the blue blazed trail to the powerlines but never beyond there. Thank you for the information about the lower trail.

Good morning, I hope everybody is doing excellent. I’m going to try the Indian Purchase Trail today so I’ll take pictures and post them and I’ll also post my trail report.

I went on a little bit of the Indian Purchase Trail about an hour ago. I didn’t go too far because I was getting hot and I was also extremely hungry. It’s so pretty on that trail! Here are the photos I took.

Hi, I hope everybody is doing excellent. I hiked the Indian Purchase Trail today and I went a little further today than I did in June but I had to stop because I was getting really hot and I forgot to bring water with me. The Indian Purchase Trail is beautiful! Here are the two photos I took.
