Frame swap swap question..

What is a reason price for a frame swap? The new frame will all ready have the rear shock, headset, and bottom bracket installed.

Everything else will need to get moved over.

And what is a recommended shop for this in NNJ. I can respect a shop that doesn’t want to take on the work because I didn’t buy the bike or frame through them. But regardless just doing my research.

I don't know why a shop won't do the work just because you didn't originally buy the bike from there as long as you pay them. I've had shops do lots of different work on bikes I didn't buy there and they're happy to do work on them.

I believe most shops charge labor by the hour. If it's an easy swap, install the wheels, fork, stem and bars yourself. That might save you a few bucks.

I don't Know how much free time you have or if you like working on your bike. Since I retired, I have been doing all my on my bikes myself with the help of You tube. Sometimes I do have to buy specialty tools. Built two bikes up myself a hardtail and a flat bar gravel bike.
