Good morning. I walked a little of the Indian Purchase Trail again today but I forgot to take pictures. I didn’t get too far but I’ll be going again on Friday and I’ll make sure I take pictures.
Hi, I hope everybody is doing great. It’s almost hunting season and the Indian Purchase Trail is open to hunting so I want to be safe so I’ll probably wait until spring, when hunting season is over, to hike the Indian Purchase Trail again.

Unfortunately, I have no way of getting to the Indian Purchase Trail on Sundays and the bow hunters in the Cushetunk Preserve probably do have a county permit to hunt there.
Hi, I hope everybody is doing great. In 2009, I followed the Vislocky property fields next to Pickell Park and I eventually went left through a gap in the trees and followed a dirt trail to the powerlines at the bottom of Cushetunk Mountain and there was a rock wall directly to the right of that trail and a black deer blind a little off to the left of the trail and I started following that trail up Cushetunk Mountain. It started out gradually going up the mountain but then it got so steep that I had to continue up on my hands and knees! I nearly slipped a few times but I eventually got to a plateau and that trail turned left along the plateau and went back down the mountain as a switchback which was so much easier than the way I went up the mountain. I ended up back at the powerlines and that black deer blind and the rock wall were both off to the left then. The way I went up the mountain was so scary and I’ll never do it again!
My life skills coach and I went on a little of the Indian Purchase Trail around 10 minutes ago and she took these 2 photos of me on the trail section near Dreahook Road.
I went on the Indian Purchase Trail yesterday but only to the spot where there was a little stream to the left of the trail in a little wooded area to the left of the houses. It was quite hot yesterday so I turned around there.
Good morning. I just remembered that in January this year, I followed the white marked Indian purchase trail to the power lines at the bottom of Cushetunk Mountain and I started to follow the white trail up Cushetunk Mountain but the trail got really steep. It got too steep to just walk up so I would have had to use both my hands and feet and I was scared so I turned around. I’ll probably go there Friday and I might check out the red marked trail instead.
I went on the Indian Purchase Trail about an hour ago and I went to where the trail goes down a small hill in the wooded area to the left of the houses and gets closer to a stream on the left but that section had higher grass and I didn’t want to get ticks on me so I turned around at the top of that hill. This is a photo I took at the top of that small hill.
