Post a picture of your next bike part or mtb gear on order!

thought I found a good deal on a set of conti road tires, then the VAT got added and it wasnt such a great deal but I was like whatever it was on a gift card anyway.

Ordered 9/26 says its coming USPS? no updates since 10/1.

What they made so far (UPS) is to invoice you $6 for processing packages from abroad, so expect to receive an invoice with whatever customs fee applieas and the UPS processing fee...they actually started charging for that even before the de minimum was suspended. I just stopped purchasing abroad...I guess that was the expected result.

TLDR, so how much did it add

The tariffs can definitely give you pause... I was set to order some Roost titanium riser bars... since the Enve M6 bars on my Spot are now over 5 years old and have had more than a few crashes on them... and Roost was offering a 10% off "first order" discount... and then on top of $20 shipping was a $57 tariff fee...

Whut?

For some reason I had it in my head these were US made... obviously I was wrong.

The removal of under $800 exemption along with the resulting administrative costs on shippers is probably going to put a hurting on a lot of the online retailers we've gotten used to buying from.

This is an instance where buying from a US distributor may cost a bit less. The tariffs will still be there, but at least the admin costs can get spread across an entire container of parts vs. each at a time, so the end cost "should" be a bit less...

It's probably going to take a year or so for all of this to settle down ... assuming everything we know now stays the same ... which is not guaranteed.
