Have you tried that for hard water spots? My wife's side view mirror is horrible from our sprinkler system. Nothing we've tried has worked so far.

Used it a while back and it helped, though I can’t remember how much. It was also on my beater Camry that got 0 love so it was more like lipstick on a pig.
The clay is supposed to help with water spots.
My windshield is fine. It's the paint that looks like my car is part of the forest.
Whatever mold/mildew/whatever is growing on my car wipes off relatively easy with a wet rag and doesn't grow on the windshield. I just..don't clean it.

i actually tried the clay bar today (have to drive at night to see if it helped) as it was mentioned as a prep for the polishing compound that carson posted, figured id give it a try. I am also considering hitting it with a regular automotive compound compound on it if the clay bar isnt helpfull or a whole solutions.

If this is what I think it is, might be cheaper to replace the glass.
Lol I'm trying to clear up the glass not sand it into oblivion. I fully expect the glass itself to be too hard for paint compound to hurt but it should take pretty much everything off the surface of it
your standard heavy cut compound for paint will NOT scratch the glass, no clue if it take whatever build up off yet.
