Do all Heart Rate Monitor sensors suck....

Wrapped around my forearm just sitting at a desk is really uncomfortable. Why is it placed there vs. at the wrist?
I think there are challenges in getting an accurate reading at the wrist and it took smart watches several iterations and specific sensor designs to arrive at suitable accuracy. What that is i dont know but it seems the further away from the heart the more difficult it is.

Like other gear, it just disappears out on the trail. I'd feel weird with a helmet, knee pads and chest protector sitting at my desk but i dont think anything about it when at speed at the bike park.

Alrighty... first ride with the TICKR Fit arm band strap done (last night). I wouldn't say it "disappears", but it is less uncomfortable than the chest strap, so I guess that's a positive...

We'll see how long it keeps working.

I’ll throw the idea of a whoop in the ring.

I am loving the reports on how slow I am and how little sleep I often get.

It pairs w strava too

I'd recommend anyone wanting to try out whoop to do the free trial first. I went right to the year subscription and after a couple months decided to just stick to Garmin watches. Can't even transfer my remaining months to anyone, and they give the sensor away with the subscription so can't sell it. I've heard of people returning to Amazon with no issues though, so maybe that's a better route than ordering straight from whoop.
I've got a few bands, next time I'm at six Mile I'll try and drop them off at the shop for you @jdog
