What have you done to your car today?

I'd be pretty surprised if the bearings in the rear are bad enough to clunk and are not in danger of imminent failure. Are you sure it's not a U-Joint?

What have you done to your car today?

Well I guess I got really lucky. Each side took less than an hour. Driver's side came off only using a chisel, passenger side I couldn't get a good spot to wedge the chisel so I did use the wailing bar tool that I bought just in case (thanks @UtahJoe !). I think since was a fairly newer car it...

For sure, but we're talking about 1980, non-parent subsidized transport. Bought it for $50, fixed it up and sold it for $650 a year later. Used that money to buy a '70 Chevelle SS396. 😁

    Tariffs...what to make of them.

I blew out the rear and the trans in one shot doing a side-step burnout on the last day of high school. That was with the stock 4 banger.😁

My first car was a '72 Vega GT. Used so much oil I had a gallon in the trunk. 😁

What have you done to your car today?

I got the Moog because of brand name and I can get them tomorrow, plus the fact that my daughter is moving to Maine in a few weeks and I won't be close enough to fix them later. :D Thanks everyone, I'll let you know how it goes. Thankfully next week looks warm enough to work in the driveway.

@UtahJoe in that video the guy uses an air chisel, did you try that first before resorting to a sledge? Just wondering if it's worth trying or not.

@UtahJoe Et al. what replacement bearing did you go with? Is it worth going with a Timken or Moog, or did you just go cheapest? Rock Auto?

Sugoi Zap Jacket - XL Like new, my wife bought this for me when I was commuting at night but I never really got a chance to use it. Probably wore it once. This is the one with the glass beads that reflect. Works awesome if you ride at night. Pickup in Flemington.

James Pearl Thinks Blogging is Dead

Oh, so now I have to examine my life too? Thanks a lot, pal. :D First of all, #4. #1. For me this is true. My wife has to work until June of 2027 to get her small (but not insignificant) pension, so I'm solo retired for now. I sometimes resist planning fun things to do during the day because I...
