    E-bikes are a thing

My WAG is they will have a shop like Halter's to do a professional analysis and provide court testimony if necessary.

    E-bikes are a thing

Ah... makes sense now although it's farily well-known e-bikes aren't allowed there. I've heard rumors advocates are working on getting e-bikes allowed, but it's definitely been a slow process. Seth has mentioned in his videos a couple of times that he doesn't really do a lot of e-bike content...

Tell me where you rode today...

No. F2/New Berg trail in the Fredrick Watershed trails in MD. Amusingly, shown as a blue trail on Trailforks. It's not a steep trail, so that reduces some of the risk when it riding the rock gardens, and the sections between the rock gardens are just flowy dirt, the many awkward rocks make it...

My TV is failing like Windows XP, who's been in the market for new?

Amusing... I'm still limping along a 45" Visio I bought back in early 2009 to watch the Superbowl. I then installed a digital antenna in my attic. The antenna stopped working a few years ago. The audio on the TV crapped out a couple of years ago, so I finally replaced the stereo system I've...

    The Indoor Cyclist's support thread

Today is the release date for this... unfortunately, my ancient Wahoo Kickr is incompatible. Seems like this would be perfect for anyone wanting to use multiple bikes on one trainer. No faffing around with cassette and sometimes hub body swaps.

FloBikes posted the complete Elite DH replay if anyone has 5 hours to kill:

Tell me where you rode today...

From where I'm standing, it's basically this: The rocks continue on for another 100 yards or so. I lost track of how many sections there are like this. I live for this kind of riding. It's both easier and harder on the e-bike. When I can pedal and use the assist - it's easier. When I can't...

Really. Slightly surprised at the women's elite winner. Not surprised at all for the men's.

    Dropper - What to buy?

Just realized this was my friend's bike. She takes good care of her bikes. She's actually a pretty good descender, but her knees don't really allow her to use a dropper post, so unless the bike has one that would be a PITA to remove, she doesn't install them. She built this bike from a frame...

    E-bikes are a thing

I saw a bunch of kids riding around my mother's neighborhood. Her main complaint was basically none of them are wearing a helmet. Without really knowing much about bikes, I gave her the analogy that these are sort of like really quiet versions of the 50cc minibikes that were around when I was...

Tell me where you rode today...

I wouldn't expect many NJ folks to know this trail... hell, by the amount of brush we rode through, it doesn't seem like it's getting ridden much these days by anyone... but if you like riding technical rock gardens, this picture is just a small sample of what this trail is like. It was awesome.

What beer are you drinking RIGHT NOW?

I know that donut shop. Tobey's. We stayed at a house on the north edge of town on 14. A couple of times a week we'd get a dozen donuts from there. If you were there that week and saw some classic Minis running around, that was probably us. My ex- and the rest of that crew still go up there...

What beer are you drinking RIGHT NOW?

I used to go to Watkins Glen every year for the Vintage Festival. I usually brought a road bike and did some riding. Never managed to do a full loop of Seneca. We'd go up the weekend before Labor Day and stay for a week, going to local wineries and breweries as well as Finger Lakes Distillery...

    E-bikes are a thing

Tracy Moseley is back racing e-bikes. Bosch is supporting her and producing a video series. Only two episodes so far, but she is pretty good in front of a camera.

Tell me where you rode today...

It's Wednesday, so... We did find a newish trail someone cut in... Tom rode most of it, but this was my 3rd ride on a charge as I was trying to see how far I could push the battery range and was running on electrical fumes.. Tom trying out an alternate line:

School me a bit - Gravity Based Bike

Or you plan to actually race enduro... but I've been coming to a similar conclusion about enduro vs. e-bike. For rides (not at a bike park) where I could use the capabilities of the enduro bike, there is enough climbing to make the e-bike a more enjoyable experience. And while the enduro bike...
