    The Technical Ride-Skyline Sunday 730AM

Ride was a blast - "Redrum" needs to be hit again rather than feeling like I was hit by the trail. I lost count of my endos too - best one blasted me off the bike as it did a 360 in the air before landing.... No pain ...No gain :)

    Thinking 29er thoughts....

Googled but couldn't find website? The package on the Superfly 100 AL Pro looks good though I haven't found the weight anywhere. I'm also going to see about building up a Jet 9 - thinking I could comb through all the online guys to get 2010/2011 parts an dmake the $ work

    Thinking 29er thoughts....

The Superfly AL pro is the bike all others will have to compare to. I race H2H Cat2 but also did the 6pack, Bearscat50 and DH40 last year and plan on doing so again - so riding 3-6 hrs at a time leads me to get a FS Thanks for the weights Jake - looks like 3 lb penalty Carbon HT vs. AL FS...

    Thinking 29er thoughts....

Yeah the "easy" decision would be Superfly (Carbon HT) if just for racing. The jump in price to get a Carbon FS leads me back towards an AL FS so I've basically trading weight vs. comfort...... I rode the Pivot429 which handled well but definetely too heavy for racing. I'm not sure what...

    Thinking 29er thoughts....

Matt & Jake The HT vs. Full Sussy has been part of my back and forth as much as the Carbon/Aluminum/Ti. The Superfly (Carbon HT) seemed to fit perfectly but I only had a chance to demo at Stephens & Hartshorne. The question is how is it on the more burly trails -...

    Thinking 29er thoughts....

Like a.s. I've ridden with Robson and many others tearing it up on 29er so I plan on getting one by race season 2012. :D Specs: 29er, xx (probably x9), leaning towards dual suspension and though I'd love carbon it's likely that id find a way to crack it so aluminum. Was leaning towards new...

    Cross newbie question

I was planning on doing the race but family committments knocked me from doing the Cat 4 Geezer race but sounds like I could come early and do a lap between races without reg.... This way I could at least try a Cyclocross course on Saturday and then plan my 1st Cyclocross race at Hidden Valley...

Repurposing my Mongoose HT for Cyclocross

Thanks Guys - looking forward to the experience I found some 1.95 Kenda's for $14 a piece. Bought new tubes & rim tape. Replacing shifter and brake cables - pads should be ok for now. So should be good to go :D

Repurposing my Mongoose HT for Cyclocross

Thanks Guys Bike is functional and does not have bar ends BUT need to do some work on the bike (lines for shifting, brake pads, etc) Two Questions: 1) Brakes are Shimano Deore (circa 2000) - I've seen that there are cyclocross specific pads and trying to figure out if they will be compatible...
