    6 Mile Run Conditions

My buddy has Lyme Disease and it's a very good chance he got it at 6 Mile Run, we biked there in June and it was the last place he hit. Always check your body for ticks after riding here. EDIT: anywhere for that matter.

    Hartshorne/Huber Conditions

I thought about crossing Locust Ave Bridge and hit up Huber but like you kept it relatively short (90 mins), I always park at Rocky Point lot and hit Grand Tour first and work my way over to Claypit where I would decide to either cross the bridge and do Huber or head back and finish off with...

    Hartshorne/Huber Conditions

Rode 8.5 miles today at Hartshorne, passed just one biker the whole time and that was down by the Claypit Creek, maybe five hikers, I almost had the whole place to myself. I would say it was about 93-95 degrees for most of the ride.

Wow and this heat in too, I plan on riding tomorrow but at Hartshorne, better cover from the sun.

    Hartshorne/Huber Conditions

They need to do some trimming on Rocky Point trail in the area of where there are two trails that run along side each other, the top one is so overgrown with that plant that just cuts you up, the funny thing is when you make that tight left turn and head down the hill, they trimmed that area...

This Thread Blows - C19 and beyond

Just broke a little while ago: The Mills Administration announced today that it is exempting visitors from the States of Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey from the 14-day quarantine requirement or negative COVID-19 testing alternative, effective this Friday, July 3, 2020...

This Thread Blows - C19 and beyond

I'm going up to Maine next week, my buddy lives by Katahdin Woods, he basically lives in the moondocks, but I still want to get tested because to visit Maine you need to either A) quarantine yourself for two weeks once you arrive or B) show that you took a Covid-19 test (and negative) within the...

    Hartshorne/Huber Conditions

Today, I saw the biggest damn fox I've ever seen (Arrow), it was on Valley View trail right before you hit Browns Dock Road, and I snucked up on it too, it was in front on my on the trail going the same direction I was, I immediately knew by the tail it was a fox and when it finally realized I...

    Hartshorne/Huber Conditions

I've always been amazed how many riders don't wear elbow pads, they're inexpensive and they can save you from a lot of damage if you ever take a spill.

    Hartshorne/Huber Conditions

Several weeks ago I wiped out on Many Logs Run at Huber almost the same way, there was a log across the trail at an angle, I got over that one but there was another smaller log on the other side I didn't anticipate and when my front tire hit that the bike slid right from underneath me and I went...

What beer are you drinking RIGHT NOW?

Wow, a new IPA from Industrial Arts, they don't pump out new beers like most places, very small list.

What beer are you drinking RIGHT NOW?

They have an IPA half named after Hartshorne Park, it's pretty good. I think its called "Hopshorne". Unfortunately for Jughandle they're practically next door to Kane, maybe a couple miles apart.

    Hartshorne/Huber Conditions

I was there too from 2pm-4pm. Rocky Point trail needs a trimming badly, part of the section the brush was so heavy I couldn't see further than 5 feet in front of me, someone is going to smack someone or each other.

    Hartshorne/Huber Conditions

I know the general area of what you're referring too, if you're on Cuesta Ridge heading to Buttermilk lot, you make a right at Grand Tour trail and head up an hill where you come across another fire road (red arrow) like Cuesta Ridge that is unmapped and you loop around till you cross the...

    Reviving CheeseQuake trail

Thanks! I'm about to celebrate it with a ride down Hartshorne and Huber at high noon! Love the heat.

    Hartshorne/Huber Conditions

The mud area that has sliced logs used stepping stones for hikers? Right before the wooden bridge (not to confused with the metal bridge down a bit further on the trail.

    Reviving CheeseQuake trail

That sounds like something that would be on the Pine Tavern menu.

    Reviving CheeseQuake trail

I rode it yesterday for the first time in a few years and it was rather discouraging, especially since that's where I first learned to ride. I might try to put a map together of the current trails and the ones now gone, for whatever reason. But I would say more than half the trails or either...
