    6 Mile Run Conditions

I did 17.6 miles yesterday so its safe to say I covered a good portion of the park and the trails were fantastic and only one muddy spot right past the metal bridge, but whoever has been working on them has done a great job, I got to the 27 lot around 3pm and it was almost empty, when I got done...

    State Park Closures AND Reopenings!

I'd be curious how the parking lots at Rocky Point are today, a day after the weekends.

    State Park Closures AND Reopenings!

Hey man, we've crossed paths many times at Hartshorne. I've noticed rogue trails there as well and along side Cuesta Ridge fire road looks like a makeshift BMX park.

    State Park Closures AND Reopenings!

The thing with limiting capacity at the lots is people are still going to try find places to park away from the park, you're now extending the problem to the parks neighbors.

    State Park Closures AND Reopenings!

I rode up to it to actually see, there were open spaces that were not roped off and it looked like a couple cars were pulling in, but it was also around 5pm.

    State Park Closures AND Reopenings!

It's a bit ridiculous, the parking lots should be the least of their concern, everyone keeps their distance. My fear is virus numbers are going to go up after this weekend and everyone is going to point at the parks, which would be laughable.

    State Park Closures AND Reopenings!

Drove to Rocky Point lot, no luck, ranger standing in front not letting anyone in and the HPD made sure you couldn't park even on Grand Tour road, the one that goes downhill by the high school. Drove by Buttermilk lot and no spaces and cars were in it waiting for someone to leave and parked...

Alright, the Leader is happy, good news! “I don’t want to get too out ahead of my skis at 1:05 p.m., but early reports — these are early, preliminary, and anecdotal — so far, so good,” Murphy said Saturday afternoon during his daily coronavirus press briefing in Trenton. “We’ve got to make sure...

Julian Capik Nature Preservation in Sayreville

While it's not best of trails and you have to dodge plenty of apple dumplings due to the horse stables next to it that use the trails (and does a fine job maintaining them and creating news ones), it is however open and hardly any traffic on them. Other down side is that there are trails that...

    State Park Closures AND Reopenings!

You know, I never understood this, you go hiking to get away from life and enjoy nature, and do that by sticking a Skull Candy headphones in your ears and blast Anthrax. Not to mention its dangerous because you can't hear if one of us is racing around a bend at 25 MPH at you.

    State Park Closures AND Reopenings!

The entrances to these parks are going to be a wild show with only 50% parking capacity allowed, which I have no idea how they will enforce this. But I can only imagine what its going to look like outside the entrance to Rocky Point parking lot at Hartshorne this Saturday with the rangers/police...
