I've had 2 deer tick bites recently. One at Tourne. The other at High Mt. Sorry @C8N and @UtahJoe. I would have agreed with you until recently.

The MCPC chainsaw crew was in the park today. All of the problematic trees are now gone. Thanks trail crew!!!

Thanks Norm for keeping up the communication with MCPC! I don't make it to Tourne very often anymore but Notcho's comments are in line with I would say. Can you bring up the summit loop proposal from a few years ago if you think it is appropriate? Thanks!

***Caution to anyone riding the Cannonball trail between Skyline Drive and the lake *** There is a power line that has been crossing the trail for years. However, it fell during the winter and now is at chest/neck level.

Perfect winter conditions at Tourne today. ~1" of snow. Good traction everywhere. No ice.

I am also 5'8" and it is a perfect fit for me.

Last night's wind made a mess at Jungle. Warthog got the worst of it. Some new chainsaw size trees in the trails. I think there were 2 in warthog, 1 or 2 in dump truck, 1 nasty one completely blocking rhino, and 1 other one that I cant remember where (boon?). There are also lots of branches...

The conditions were good on Friday. The leaves are not an issue anymore thanks to all the hikers.

I visited Nassau for the first time today. The flow at this place is great! All the berms, jumps and technical trail features were also a nice surprise. Thanks to the trail crew for creating such a great trail network (and for clearing the leaves)!

The trails are dry and the leaf cover is not bad. It seems like 60% of the leaves are already down. It should be great conditions for the weekend. Does anyone know if it is legal to set up a buffet in front of your hunting blind. I found this today and it just seems wrong.

Excellent conditions at Tourne today. Peak color in the trees and minimal leaf cover on the trails. The overgrowth has also died off enough to ride the orange and unmarked trail at the top of the green.

Problem solved. Now we have a new log-over.
