I just saw that a lot of work has been done to the middle portion of the connector trail .. it flows much better now and is a lot more fun. A couple of berms and rollers were added. Most importantly the one of the turns is now tighter and guides riders toward the inner part of the trail...

This info seems to have changed recently then. When I spoke to fox service, they told me that all 2nd gen posts will be warrantied due a known issue… “after they are assessed.” Proof of purchase was required.

If it has the "wings" by the seat clamp, it's a second gen.

Yeah, Kyle from Belmar bikes told me that Fox’s supplier of seals sent them faulty ones for that dropper and it was causing lots of failures. That’s the reason they are warranting all of them free of charge with new internals. I bought mine in 2022 and it started having issues right away...

George, that's the 2nd gen fox post. Fox is warrantying all 2nd gen posts free of charge no matter how old they are. It will come back with new internals and work better than new. Send it in and keep it as a back up. I just got mine back about 2 months ago and it's been great ever since.
