    Marty's Triple Crown of MTB

Yea, you were right. I just went with my original gut, which was to bail. Had everything packed and ready to go last night, too. NYCMTB repped, tho. Took first place Women, 6th and 11th Men. Not too shabby.

Post a picture of your next bike part or mtb gear on order!

No hype. Some of us larger folks appreciate the extra stopping power, allows for more modulation entering turns and down steeps.

Why do people have coaches for years on end?

I think daily is excessive. Weekly is the sweet-spot for soul-crushing reality checks and anger-fueled bursts of motivation.

    Any scotch/whisky drinkers in here?

Clear liquor messes up my sleep, and the morning after isn't great compared to brown liquor nights. I will say that I am a HUGE fan of DHM and find that it mitigates both. I find that if I take it during drinking it lessens the buzz from getting to be more than that, and the recovery the next...

    Schwalbe's new radials

I hope not. Not that I'm wishing it on you, but maybe you got a bad tire like my problematic TC that I couldn't mount? I've been running Al/Al on the Epic, so the difference with the Romy won't be as pronounced as when I am running the Rick out back. We shall see...

    Any scotch/whisky drinkers in here?

That's clear liquor for me. Once in a blue I can do a Bloody Mary or a Tom Collins, but otherwise it's the brown stuff for me.

    Schwalbe's new radials

Thanks for taking the time to write that up! I am waiting on the Romy in Mid compound to arrive. Once it does, that is going on the back of the Epic Evo, with the front being the Romy Soft. I'm hopeful this is going to be a great combo for that bike. Otherwise, I will go back to the Albert in...

Trail Maintenance Best Practices (Do This)

Another thing to consider regarding raking is trail usage. If there is a trail that doesn't see much traffic (bike, foot, or otherwise), raking a bit sooner isn't a bad idea. There are some trails that see such little traffic that come March they still have a full mat of leaves on top of them...

Tell me where you rode today...

Recon for Sunday? Perfect conditions today. Didn't do the roll as I'm not quite where I want to be yet. There's one almost exactly like it out at Wolfe's Pond, Kingdom trail section. We call it The G-Out Drop"

    Watches

Not terrible, and it's a daily wearer in the ER. They're easy enough to remove with a light Scotchbrite pad or something similar.

I have the original from a few years ago. It's actually a pretty steel-feeling Ti, not particularly light, and it's 42mm.

Already bought some aftermarket canvas and NATOs lol. I had the rubber this watch comes with on my old 300 Diver. I swap out straps on the Pelagos all the time during the summer. Nice classic PO btw. I think this is the third or fourth I've bought from them over the years.

In! Went through Jomashop, have bought multiple times in the past from them with zero issues. If I don't love it in person, it goes back https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watch-omega-seamaster-diver-300m-co-axial-master-chronometer-42-mm-21032422001006

What have you done to your bike today?

I read that the new Tacky Chan isn't as vague on the lean/transition as the old. I have double Alberts on the Epic Evo and I definitely am not as comfortable with the front one as I am with the MM on the Stumpy. If the TC is vague there, I'll try it on the Epic. I'm thinking the Romy is going...

What have you done to your bike today?

Oooooh, I'm jealous!! Yea, I'm looking to replace a MM as well on the front of a Stumpy Evo. Romy went on the back of the Epic Evo, but I'm going to move it to the front (it's a Soft compound) and pick up a Romy in Mid compound for the back. EDIT- How long was shipping from Schwalbe? NVM, I...
