    Tariffs...what to make of them.

Honestly, it is a bit surprising. As much as she was disliked in the role, it seemed she did his bidding with little regard for the consequences. One thing for sure... the various books that come out of this administration should make for some fascinating reading... Edit: Although according...

Tell me where you rode today...

First road ride of the year... took about 5 miles for my body to remember what that feels like. Rough headwind on the way home... Docks not out yet...

Trail Maintenance - don't do this

A couple of good storms and it will revert back to what it was... or at least close to it...

    Is MVDP the GOAT?

LOL! Slovenia. Something of a hot-bed for cycling these days, which is somewhat surprising given the relatively low population - 2.12M people.

Tell me where you rode today...

Great day to get out. I arrived with a 3/4 sleeve jersey under a riding jacket, but quickly figured out I didn't need the jacket. During one of the "Shit... I overdressed..." moments A nice 2' diameter log that had me wishing I wasn't on the Heckler... Tom eyeing up a 18" log with an...

Tell me where you rode today...

What can happen when you aren't used to removing your front wheel to put your bike in the back of your car because your normal car is in the shop (friend's wheel she left behind).

Post a picture of your next bike part or mtb gear on order!

Finally got tired of the Fox Transfer on the Heckler and after some measuring, I am 99% sure a 200mm drop AXS post will fit, so on order from Halters:

Post a picture of your next bike part or mtb gear on order!

I used to buy a lot of stuff off eBay, but some years ago it started to become a struggle to find anything good for a decent price and it became easier to just buy from established vendors. Another thing was when they stopped being linked to PayPal for selling and wanted to link directly to...

Post a picture of your next bike part or mtb gear on order!

Honestly, I'm hesitant to buy anything off eBay right now... the chances of it being counterfeit or just a scam in general are too great for the minimal savings.

Things that make you smile :)

In a previous life, I worked at a comicbook store in Levittown, PA and the store shared back-room space with Positively Records next door. At the time, the owners kept two cats at the store, which was awesome. Once in a while, one of them would wander over to our store and hang out for a bit...

Things that make you smile :)

That sounds like what the officers told the budget office to get a golf course... "Yeah... all of those open fields will be used for troop training... Right." My ex's father was an engineer at Picatinny for 30+ years... I think he was involved with the Picatinny Rail development. The irony...

Things that make you smile :)

I was looking at something on Google Maps this afternoon and happened to pan across McGuire AFB... and noticed the on-base golf club and pup: And I'm thinking... "hmm... the outline of that building looks really familiar... I wonder..." So... I open up another tab for Google maps and head up...

    Jim Thorpe area trails?

I suppose an interesting day-trip would be: Start at Mauch Chunk Lake county park. Switchback Railroad trail down to Flagstaff Road. climb Falgstaff Road to the Flagstaff Ridge trail. Two options here. The route on Trail Forks I've never done. We always went up to the Flagstaff Club (circled)...

    Jim Thorpe area trails?

As mentioned in the Facebook thread, it sounds like the DCNR is really cracking down on mtn bikes on the single track. Not sure what happened as it used to be more of a "don't ask, don't tell" situation, but it's been at least 15 years since I've ridden there so I'm not sure. My WAG right now...

    Bentonville, AR/NWA

Agreed. There's not much to really "think" about with regards to Slaughter Pen or Coler. Especially if you're there on an e-bike. Figure out which lines are within your comfort zone and lap them a few times.
