I guess they want you to manage both wattage and cadence. I say bollocks to that. 😉 W

I might be misunderstanding the comment but if you are noting that a frenetic workout requires too much shifting and power changes. You can eliminate all cadence changes and shifting by putting your smart trainer into ERG mode. Selecting a workout with longer duration blocks that are not extreme...

Spent midweek camping and snowshoeing in Stokes. Tillman Ravine Road was unmaintained but packed down solid. Might be a good FatBike option for next snowfall. W

To quote Airplane : ‘I speak jive.’ That mansion pic is likely the mansion at Natirar. ( ie 90 Acres ). Blairsden mansion ( above Ravine Lake ) is not public and IMHO way cooler…🤟 W

    25-26 Ski and Snowboard Thread

Hip flexors are shot from too much snow shoeing, decided to give downhill a shot after not doing so for 15 years. Mountain Creek was empty on Tuesday, just ski unto the lift. Conditions seem good. No limbs broken. 👍

Union Transportation (rail) Trail had snowmobile packed line. Was planning on following those same track thru Assunpink WMA but after an hour of squashing the billion ice chunks and a couple of projectile events where front wheel dropped thru I cut it short.

Best of luck to the amphibians, I’m annoyed that the commuters coming from Fanwood train station don’t bother to activate the blinky pedestrian crossing lights on 7th ave. Doesn’t help that they dress like ninjas as well. At least your salamander has bright spots…. W

Not I. Parked at Trailside Nature center and jumped on first trail ( green/white/purple ). Just as crunchy as Ashbrook but much less wind. W

Eased up on the trainer by 10% but quads were creaky anyway. 😵 Watchung Reservation was better for snow shoeing than Ashbrook. More vertical, less wind ( same crunchy crust 😒 ) Started think about a winter goal on the trainer of a 60 minute full gas attempt at 10 watts higher than current...

Jim whilst you are blasting around Hurrican at race pace, take some notes for me on any sections that are actually nice to spend some time camping and biking. I backpacked a section near Ocala that overlapped a little with the route but I think the nicer parts were a no-bikes wilderness area...
