It's 2026 Is an Emtb in your near future?

I don't need, or even want, more power because I can't use it. I want the same power as we've had for the last couple of years (~85nm, 800-1000 watts) but with smaller motors and lighter bikes (sub 40 lbs.). I do like the integration of electronic shifting with the bike battery.

I agree 100%. Engineers rarely get to approve the final design, often times it's the bean counters that make the final decision. Do you think Mercedes engineers designed to have so many plastic parts on their engines? Mercedes Benz got the reputation they had because it was run by engineers and...

It's 2026 Is an Emtb in your near future?

That may be true since I've experienced this from fixing things around the house and working on my cars as well as bikes to some extent. I know plenty of engineers who don't know which end of the screw driver to hold. I'm not that kind. I have worked on cars where I just don't understand why...

I'm in the same boat. The engineer in me if fighting with the more practical side of me. Sometimes I ask myself is the better option a necessary option for me? With that said, I still have a Pivot with superboost so figure that out.

Gray market prices of the Pepsi has jumped up again due to rumors (again) of Rolex discontinuing it after this year. This phenomenon proves many so-called collectors are really flippers. Collectors buy what they like and keep them, not what the market commands and flip them.

Looking for basic 26in rim brake wheelset, the cheaper the better.....

Wow, I had one of those back in the day. In fact, I'm in Cannondale's 1999 catalogue sitting on it leaning against my truck.

The bezel is not lumed but I do like how balanced it is, example is it has "05" at the 5 minute mark instead of just a "5" so each numerical value has 2 characters. This is what Rolex did with the current Air King I have (126900). The previous version of the Air King (116900) only has the "5"...

I was so amazed at how nice the Tag looked in person. The sales associate brought me outside to see it in the natural sunlight and it just looks amazing. Then we came in and he shined UV light on the dial to show the lume. The only negative is it's 38-hour automatic power reserve but since it'll...

Speaking of dive watches, I just got back from a cruise to Western Caribbean and got some good deals on 3 watches, one for my wife and two for me with my wife's blessings. One is an Omega Seamaster Diver 300M in blue that I've been eyeing for a while. I prefer this version over the newer...

Homestead on the Angel streaming platform. Just watched the movie last night. The series picks up where the movie ends. As a semi-prepper this got me thinking.

    25-26 Ski and Snowboard Thread

I've been to Zermatt and insurance is always a good idea in my opinion. Also, we were told to ski with our passports because it is very easy to accidentally ski into Italy. I would also recommend a tour of the historic old town via horse drawn buggy. It was very interesting.
