2026 Gravity Season (races, freeride events, etc.

Well... I guess we can get this thread started again... 2026 Hardline Tasmania rider list announced. With the somewhat "surprise" addition this year being Aaron Gwin. Although I suppose it makes sense he might go to both Hardline events next year with his reduction in World Cup races...

    Lore cycling shoes...

These showed up in my IG feed this evening... The idea sounds good - shoes designed around a 3D scan of your feet. It seems they are mainly aimed at the roadie crowd, but they do offer an XC mtb version...

Do all Heart Rate Monitor sensors suck....

...or do I just have shitty luck? I have a growing pile of dead HRM sensors... two Wahoo chest sensors... one Wahoo arm sensor (that never worked at all)... and now a Garmin chest sensor... and it seems like all of them crap out after maybe a year. I've tried replacing the battery and that...

    2026 UCI schedule

Some interesting changes... add Whistler, but no MSA? World Championships at Val di Sole Aug 26-30. When I first saw Soldier Hollow on the schedule, I looked it up and it looks like it will work out well for XC. The area doesn't appear to be set up for a true DH track, so understandable why...

    1.25" hitch rack options?

I work from home, so I don't drive that much these days - quite a change from the 30K+/year I used to put on my cars when I worked in Somerset. Other than weekend trips - usually to ride - my driving during the week consists of one or two grocery store runs and 1-3 drives to Nesh to ride -...

    Broken collarbone questions

Hello all... As some of you saw in The Not BIYF Feb thread, I lost the front wheel on ice this past Sat and landed on my left shoulder hard enough to break my collarbone. After 40+ years of doing stupid stuff on bikes, this is a first for me. It's completely broken and crossing over itself...

2024 Gravity Season (races, freeride events, etc...)

While we have quite a while until the race season starts, we do have some early season events to look forward to - Hardline down-under, for one. More timely, Sam Reynolds and the Darkfest crew are a bit early this year. Perhaps to beat Fall (in S. Africa) rains? He's started to drop videos...

    Sheduro 2023 - Aug 20 - Fredrick, MD

https://www.bikereg.com/bike-doctor-sheduro#Register It's pretty much sold out for the men's categories (I managed to snag the last 45+ Men Sport entry), but all of the women's categories are still open as of this posting, as well as the Waitlists and the JR classes. Should be fun. I know...

    Trans New England?

...is happing as I post this. One of my Philly friends is up there and has been posting pictures and videos to his Facebook page. Looks like a fun event. 5 Days, tent camping, 4-6 enduro stages per day. All raced blind. Not a cheap event at $1950 (will probably go up next year), but does...

How do I find a decent sports Dr?

I'll try not to make this too wordy, but if you've read my posts over the years, I'll know I'm not very good at that... Basic stats: 50 year old male (51 in July), 5' 10", reasonable weight (~175 lbs.), average to thin build. Past tests: normal/average blood pressure; slightly high...

Admin Position - Somerset, NJ area

My company's NJ office has an administration assistant position opening. The office is located near I-287 Exit 10 but would probably be a combination of in-office and WFH at this point. Good MS Word skills required, along with other MS products and a few other programs. If anyone knows of...

On lap 4 as I post this. Anyone else watching these? I have to admit, watching the European pros race makes me want to try cross racing in 2020.

Feedback Sports Velo Wall Rack - (4) for sale.

I have four of these. Unfortunately, they don't really work for my space. Two are still new in the box. Two have been assembeld and mounted. $25 each for the boxed ones. $20 each for the used ones. Negotiable (I'm tired of tripping over these...) I'm headed back to NH for a couple of weeks...

    2019 Gravity Season

    2018 DH World Cup

...starts next weekend - April 22. Women start at 6:45 AM EDT (ugh...). So who's excited? I'm excited. :D I saw a preview video of the venue in Croatia by a local team. Apparently a rocky tire and wheel killer, which could shake up the results. Schedule: April 21/23 - Losinj, Croatia June...
