Shipping wasn’t an issue once I learned that ‘well packaged’ bikes fly as a regular checked bag without oversize surcharges. It fit nearly perfect into a bike frame box and I used miles which included the first checked bag.

A morning unicycle ride before the sun came over the bluffs. It’s certainly not in northern NJ. I did see one or two rocks in the trail.

Lots of long tunnels and high trestles today.

Came across two Black Rat snakes about 30’ apart today. Both are in this photo.

Yesterday the bugs were not bad at all. Just a couple of deer flies.

I was pretty sure I left my steel coffee cup up there.

I was out working this morning. Trail surface is dry but soft. There’s a lot of moisture in the soil. Passing showers along with a freeze/thaw tonight into tomorrow morning will probably make it wet in the morning.

Same here, on the dogs. 3 dogs, two ticks total, one on a foot, one on a face. I know the days of finding many more than that are soon to be here. I had my permethrin treated gaiters on. Looks like it’s once again time to spray the clothes. The dogs wear treated vests, I sprayed them...

We were out doing some work this morning. The difference between 8:00 am and 1:00 was dramatic. Noticeably drier. The sun and wind are doing their thing. It should be good to ride tomorrow.

Haven’t been there but judging by my yard it will still be wet and soft in many places. Wednesday’s rain was a pretty good soaker. And it went below freezing last night so there will be some freeze-thaw going on also.

Definitely wait for it to freeze please. Unfortunately you will have to deal with the frozen ruts from those who rode today.
