    New E-bike legislation in NJ

He probably went home after and cleaned and polished his Glock... or flaregun... or whatever they carry

    New E-bike legislation in NJ

Can park rangers actually write people tickets? Allaire is a place you need to be careful out of the summer season. A very crowded state park and the Park Police get bored in the off months.

    E-bikes are a thing

That law specifically says "public Highway" so maybe there a technicality to get out of it since we would be on trails or parking lots.

anyone know how much the e-bike insurance will cost? If you have a teenager in the house does the cost go up?? Should I get collision??? Theft????

    E-bikes are a thing

Until recently I would have agreed with you. However, this fall the Park Police gave me a ticket at Round Valley for Windsurfing without a USCG approved lifevest. Keep in mind I was wearing a lifevest designed for windsurfing and also a helmet and full body wet-suit. On top of that the ticket...

    Sourlands Mountain Preserve Conditions

I rode today. Upper mountain is in great shape. The lower mountain is sloppy, but if you climb the C trail you can stay pretty clean.

    Bike industry failing?

your list basically sums up my life... except I never really got that fat. But the sports I do now are what I did in my teens and there is that gap from age 20-30.

    Bike industry failing?

Killington likes to hype up their 100 Day Club. But in reality, if you made the 100 Day Club you're also in the Skied 70 Shitty Days Club. You get a T-Shirt though...

    E-bikes are a thing

I would also add that hot weather riding is WAY more enjoyable on an emtb. The extra breeze you get climbing at 10mph instead of 4 makes a big difference. I also don't go to downhill parks quite as much now because I get some of that speed stoke from the ebike.

    Brewery news

Readington isn't a great IPA place but their European style beers are all pretty good if you like those styles.

    Sourlands Mountain Preserve Conditions

Tree down on Tree Amigos. It's at the top of the climb coming from Roaring Rocks. Could probably be done with a hand saw. Trails are very dry considering the rain we just had.

I'm sure the summer-like weather didn't hurt either.

Vermont fall tour must hit trails?

They just opened one in Woodstock. https://www.ranchcampwoodstock.com/ I agree, the foliage was pretty dull this year.

Vermont fall tour must hit trails?

I rode Mt Pegg on Monday and most of the trails were clear. The rain wasn't too heavy tuesday night so it might still be decent. Biggest issue was driving through Woodstock with the Leaf-Peeping gridlock! I wanted to try that new Ranch Camp restaurant/bikeshop and couldn't get in the place it...

    Knee pads recommendations

I'll second this. I have an older version that's at least 3 years old and still works great. I have the zipper version and the zipper has not broke (which was a concern when I bought them). I love the zipper version because I always forget to put the pads on before my shoes and then have to...

Vermont fall tour must hit trails?

If you're driving up or back during the daytime, I like to hit Daniel's Road Park in Saratoga or Slate Valley, VT. Great tech riding and breaks up the trip a little.

Do I even like this anymore?

At least TRY an eMTB. It takes the "chore" part out of riding and make you feel like a kid again.

upgrades for Daniels Rd Park in Saratoga NY

I'd like to get your thoughts on Moreau. I felt like they were hiking trails that allowed biking, but it's possible I wasn't hitting the good trails.

    Slate Valley Trails, POULTNEY VT

The trail layout reminded me of Mt Pegg with the big climbs and big decents. They both even have a golf course!
