I get it. I've found myself doing that when riding a bike behind someone with a blinking light. I run my Niterider tail light on solid with a slow frequency strobe for that reason.

Most of my rides requiring lights are dawn patrol on the road with a N.R. 1200 boost on the helmet and a 1200 OLED boost on the bars. Will also jump onto local Camden County park ST. The Outbound combo might be overkill.
