NJ snowbowl had a tiny bit of crust on top but still floats pretty well. And there’s been enough traffic there these past couple days that it’s getting packed down nicely. If you’ve got a touring setup it’s the place to be in NJ right now!

Bringing this thread back since northern NJ is covered in snow! What backcountry spots are you all skiing right now? I know about snowbowl near Mahlon. I’ve also heard rumblings of tree skiing off the AT down to the Delaware River near sunfish pond, but I haven’t found any evidence of people...

I’m trying to figure out where the rain/snow line ended up with this most recent snow storm, as I’m going to try to take out the backcountry skis later this week to ski some NJ pow. so that said, would love a thread with where you’re located and if you got any ice in your yard with this storm!

LOL I don't know why these dudes needed to include footage saying that "they destroyed it" and then showing themselves re-building what is most certainly a rogue trail. Just gonna get your work destroyed that much faster. Could easily post the same sick footage without the beginning part...

Worth the stop! It was a notch above the technicality of northern exposure if I remember correctly. Beat me up.

There’s another spot close to rockland called millers pond. I only remember one or two blazed trails there, but it was a really cool loop. Pretty technical single track back there, I would say it was a bit more technical than rockland.

I rode case once and it was cool but I was following someone. It seemed like a maze the whole time I was back there. It was definitely more flowy cross country style single track than rockland.

Bummer those trails aren’t well maintained. I’d always stop on the drive from New Jersey to Boston or vice versa and ride northern exposure. One of my favorite trails in the northeast!!

Which trail are you referring to? The one that used to be blazed white, one trail lower than tres amigos off the pipeline?

I just realized this dropper solves the issue of putting a dropper on an older frame that doesn’t have internal routing (yes, I know I could try and find an externally-routed dropper, but it wouldn’t be nearly as high-performing as current droppers)
