The reality is setting in that I will no longer be going to the Creek for DH fun, so I am selling it.
2004 Iron Horse SGS DH Team large 8” travel with Thomson post and WTB saddle. 100 mm bb and 165mm rear hub.
Rear shock: Manitou Swinger 6
Fork: Marzocchi 888 with newer lowers due to my breaking the caliper tabs. Now post mount. Clean stantions.
SRAM X9 shifter and der.
Avid Code brakes with 8” rotors
Sun Double track rims with a Ringle frt hub and a 165mm WTB rear hub.
100mm bottom bracket ISIS drive with FSA hd cranks.
This thing is a beast at 48# but strong enough to put up with a big guy riding it. Asking $450.00 but will consider reasonable offers.

I had an 03 SGS Expert that I rode all the time, it was considered a free ride bike. I was able to get it down to a manageable weight, but it was still a hefty bike.

the one for sale is NOT one to be converted to an XC bike though, this is 100% DH!! It may look the same but it is not. The Dow tube alone starts at the 1.5 headset and gets tapered to the 100mm bottom bracket….it’s beefy.

I had an 03 SGS Expert as pictured above. It came with a Sherman which was a 6” single crown 1.5 fork, it was more stout and better dampening than my Boxxer on my 01 DH bike.
 
bump for yet another lowered price....somebody please buy this thing before I decide to ride it again.
