From the Frank Harms Collection - important background post here.

2016 Trek Farley 5 Fat Bike, Size 21.5”

This bike, known as "Tommy Boy," was heavily upgraded while Frank owned it; few of the original parts remain. The frame is a replacement from Trek, made of Alpha Platinum Aluminum, featuring their E2 tapered head tube, internal derailleur & dropper post routing, PF121 (whatever TF that is), and Stranglehold adjustable thru axle dropouts.

Components:

Headset: Integrated, cartridge bearing, sealed, 1-1/8" top, 1.5" bottom
Grips: Ergon
Stem: Race Face RIDE
Saddle: Bontrager Evoke 1.5
Seatpost: PNW One Dropper w/remote, 170mm
Brakes: Avid Code Five, 180mm rotors
Bars: Easton Monkey Light Composite DH
Shifter: SRAM NX 11 Speed
Rear Mech: SRAM NX 11 Speed
Cranks: Race Face Affect, 175 mm arms, 28t chainring
Wheels: Sun Mule Fit 80mm SL 32h w/cutouts
Tires: Bontrager Barbegazi, Tubeless Ready (may or may not be set up), Inner Strength sidewalls, 120tpi, aramid bead, 26x4.70" (decent tread left, likely purchased in 2016)
Hubs: DT Swiss 350 rear, Hope Pro2 EVO FATSNO 150 front
Fork (OEM): Trek Alpha Platinum Series aluminum w/Bontrager hub
Fork (installed): Rock Shox Bluto w/adjustable 80/100/120mm travel

Condition:
The bike rides well and operates as it should. Shifts and brakes fine. Front suspension action is smooth. Chain wear is reasonable. Front wheel has a slight wobble felt with a finger while spinning by hand, rear is true. There is some discoloration on the frame where Frank had some tape for some reason (did my best to remove the adhesive.)

We're under no delusions about the bike’s value. Everyone knows what the used bike marketplace looks like and what you can buy a new fat bike for these days. Finally, even though it’s nicely upgraded, it’s still just a used bike.

That said, it’s also a chance for you to get a great bike with plenty of miles left and help the widow of one of our community’s most respected members.

The bike is located in Northfield, NJ (zip 08225) but inspection (serious buyers only) / delivery in most of NJ can be worked out. I'm pretty flexible and should be able to make myself available at your convenience.

Shipping is available at the buyer's expense. Bikeflights will be used and everything will be packed professionally by the good folks at Halters Cycles.

I will be listing Frank’s other bikes (here first), and a bunch of his old parts (some of which are already on my eBay store: https://www.ebay.com/str/themtbrecyclist).

PM here for my contact info if interested.

Thanks!
