2019 Specialized Stumpy ST Missing a VERY Small Bolt

Hi All,
I Just picked up a 2019 Stumpy ST for my wife. I haven’t been riding and am happy to have a bike to build up. I was going over it and will need to change bearings. They all feel good but the pair in the center of the link that connects to the extender. If anyone has the bearing size I’d like to save a few dollars just sourcing those.

Apparently the seat/chain stay pivot bolts are drilled and tapped on the back side for a retaining bolt and one worked its way out (MIA). Pictures of the bolt kit do not show these small bolts. The bolt kits seem to be scarce as well. Can anyone familiar with Specialized confirm these bolts come in the kit? Anyone have one floating around or know if the dealers sell them?

The last thing which is concerning and I only learned after buying the bike is that there are reports of the left hand thread drive side main pivot bolt backing out and stripping. Please tell me that this isn’t a common issue.

I’ll call a dealer soon but AFAIK some of the members here work for Spesh @Jimvreeland

It’s not as common as people claim, just throw a dab of blue loctite on the threads.

Also, I can source the bolts when I get back into town if I don’t have a set in my bin of pivot bolts

Thank you Jim. I did some digging. From what I could tell that bolt comes with the chain stay protector and isn’t needed on the NDS.

My last question is regarding removal of the Horst link bearings at the drop-out end of the triangle. There’s two bearings and a spacer on each side. Can they be pressed out or do you need to use some kind of blind puller? If a blind puller is needed do you have a recommendation?

BTW the bearing sizes are 2 pcs 6901 2RS for the main pivot and 10 pcs 6801 VRS all full compliment bearings.

Just to follow up on the missing bolt. It’s only needed in the drive side as it secures the chain slap damper.
