Allamuchy North Conditions

I know the map is getting rough, but this is the latest on what is known to be clear. Both green AND yellow.

I went in to Allamuchy again this afternoon and cleared about 6 or so trees from the Sussex Branch lot.--Wow that was tough (I think some were hiking trails) I've now swept most of the remaining trails on that side except the two small red hi-lited ones. @Sawyer1 I believe is going to try and clear the remaining purple hi-lited ones next week. He cleared the remainder of Friggin Middle, Ice Cream, etc earlier in the week or last week. After the purple ones are swept/cut , I'd consider Allamuchy North clear!

How does the rack attach to the bike? Are the 29ers working out better for pedal clearance?

Eh, maybe a smidge. 155mm cranks would probably be best. Old Man Divide Fat rack w/Robert Axle Project axle w/standoffs.

The pedal clearance is more of an issue with snow clearance and when doing TM with the saw and not riding as nimbly/active.

In both 26x4.8 and 29x3 it's not as much of an issue on dry rides without the chainsaw.

Got out for a morning cutting mission today and cleared the remainder of the purple trails. So now I believe everything we were tracking has been cleared.

Couple trees/debris/complete blockage on the orange loop today. Definitely need a chainsaw, and it looks like the trees are viney, so beware of poison ivy. Sorry I don’t have pics, no phone on me today when I rode.

Other than those two very fresh blockages, the park is riding SOOOOO GOOD! Thank you so much to everyone doing work. It shows. So good.

Yeah that’s the bad one a little farther away from the start of the loop that I would be careful of poison ivy. The next one isn’t quite so dense and I didn’t spot any vines.
Im hoping the main bushy part isnt poison ivy. Definitely some ivy there for sure tho

I hope so too, but it was difficult to tell. So dense. Could also be some Virginia creeper. Most people are allergic to PI but not VC, I’m the opposite and last year I found that out the hard way

I'm tracking like 6-7 blowdowns I can reach from 517 entrance. Hoping to get in there tomorrow morning. If that one above has lots of PI I will leave it for someone else lucky enough to not be allergic.
