Anyone interested in planning a trip to MOAB??

One of the things I really wanna do before I get to old and grumpy, is to ride on the rocks and dessert terrain out west. I see all these cool looking trails out in California and Utah and really wanna do it. But my wife dont ride and my friends dont ride..(then they aint no friends of mine.) Sooooooo.... I was wondering if anyone would have any interest in planning a several day getaway to MOAB to ride the trails for a few days. Im thinking early to mid spring would be a nice time to go, when its not to hot. Who would even consider this? Lets do a 4 day getaway with complete strangers!!!

I would rent a bike out there. Cost wise, same as shipping or flying my bike..

I'm pretty lucky I have a brother who lives in Park City and they have one or two trails that are ok .

You may want to look at the benefits of fall vs spring. You may have issues with snow on trails you may want to ride if you go early in the year.

I would be possibly interested in something like that but in the fall... Spring is tied up with other commitments.

There are a few groups from our area out there right now and based on the instagram / facebook posts, it looks like the have perfect weather.

Fruita in two weeks for me. My last Utah trip was early Oct and it was phenomenal

You won't be able to go to the top of the Whole Enchilada by that point, maybe not even Hazard County. You'll be able to ride the rest though. Other than that you shouldn't have any issues and the weather will be great.

Nice! I haven't been out there in a few years. I'm due, but it'll likely be more of a climbing trip than a biking trip at this point.

March is too early, thats all I know. I was there in the beginning of march (not for biking) and you can still get snow squalls.

I was in Fruita for Fat Tire Fest and weather was great. I think that was mid-April a couple years ago.
