A ribbon cutting was held yesterday afternoon to celebrate the opening of the Augusta Mine Trail and a portion of the rebuilt McKeags Meadow Trail. These trails are the combined efforts of both Palisades MTB and the New York, New Jersey Trail Conference. They add about 2 miles of a ‘lollipop stick’ to the existing multi use loop in Sterling Forest.

Parking for McKeags Meado Trail can be found at the Laurel Meadows lot off of Long Meadow Rd.
This lot will bring some parking relief to the current two lots on the loop.

Come ride (or walk) the new sections of trail if you have not already.

PMTB is now going to focus it’s efforts on finishing the section of Redback from Hutchinson to McKeags while the Trail Conference works on more of McKeags.
