Saturday June 27 *impromptu* trail work session. Meet at 10:00 under the firetower.

We'll head over to the 'lil Yellow trail (the beginner trail by the picnic tables) and start incorporating some beginner level skills sections that emulate the obstacles on the longer WSF trails (read as: logovers and tight squeezes tween trees).

Bring ideas, work boots and gloves. Maybe a clipper, rake or saw too, if you got 'em. I'll bring the pin flags and mower.

Good Day at Batsto

Got to the lot early and did the blue loop on the Unicog(SS Litespeed Unicoi).
The trail markers go green/orange/blue/orange/green on this loop.

The rain and lack of riders is letting the forest reclaim the trails.
Kurt and I plan to start mowingand trimming the big loop again in September for the winter season.

We worked on the yellow trail near the picnic tables as requested by the State Naturalist.
We put in a couple of log-overs and started alying the ground work for a log ride. It still needs ramping and surface work.

We also took some measurements of the 2 water crossings out on the Penn Branch trail. We hope to get some bridges built soon.

John
