entirely thrilled
had the opportunity to drink some native alaskan dry village (local prohibition) hooch this past month. it's super fast fermentation juice that they typically drink within a few days of adding the yeast, sells for about $80 a gallon. honestly, i was dissappointed. it was fairly weak. but it tasted good. i guess it's slim pickings though out there. and considering my north and western european ancestors have been getting shitfaced for millenia, with the most successful breeders being those who were still capable of 'performing' at the end of the night, while there's almost no history of alchohol consumption among alaskan natives before the white devil arrived, i suppose there might be a genetic disparity between tolerance levels...
