Chimney Rock Conditions

80% nice and frozen.. the new dirt isn’t great. Shed trail was ok, Stop sign was walked.
White was no bueno. Everything else was great. (I rode everything except black ball field and lower blue, just figured those wouldn’t be a mess.

This hanging tree is on the path across from the Cromwell basketball court..
Is there a white trail in Cromwell and where's black ball field?

I rode there this past Sunday at 8a from the ballfield. Didn't have any issues. Out to Cromwell and then Orange to guiderail back to the the ballfields.

That’s what I expected to hear but wanted to confirm, thanks. Given the state of the world I wouldn’t be too surprised if somehow water doesn’t freeze anymore.

A cold start. Did blue, white, behind the ball fields, orange and red. It’s like snow cone soft so I guess it never got warm enough to start a melt before a refreeze. Thanks to the fat bike guys for making a track. Too cold for my suspension bike so I rode Lucifer.

Ya. Everything was really good except yellow didn’t seem like it has gotten as much traffic. Everywhere else is ridden in and good to go. Although I didn’t do blue, but I heard that’s as good as white and red.

I rode 90% of CR on Sunday morning ..... 90% of that was totally fine. I even cleaned the guardrail climb for the first time in a few years.

Areas that were icy (and now probably soggy):
> white trail entrance from CR Rd
> access trail from the ballfield gravel lot
> black trail just before vosseller
> cromwell trail by the basketball courts
> orange heading down to gilbride was dodgy:
