Chimney Rock Conditions

This wasn’t a quad. I followed the tracks all through blue.
The quad guys are even worse in my opinion.
To my knowledge the rangers never ride motor vehicles on the trails in Chimneyrock. They hike it.
“Ranger things” 😂

This is less than 200’ from the Gilbride lot heading to Cromwell.

Looks like someone tried.

Try harder, Homer.
Lol. I considered it, took 2 pills, but I figured my time was better spent with the weed wacker I had instead of the bow saw... I figured since it was only 10 ft from the lot should be easy enough to get back to with the real saw.

I just finished up a ride and was gonna report the Gilbride one too. Also 2 in Cromwell on the perimeter trail:

Also rode Orange and it's not terrible but could use a trim.

You get a pass for playing with the poison ivy at SSP a few weeks ago.

Did most of the park except black and Cromwell.

Did upper blue to the connector with those two consecutive jumps and skipped lower blue. Running awesome! Even the S turns that have those problem spots are mostly dried out.

You hooligans left a bunch of ruts though. 😀

This was the worse I saw on orange. Otherwise, already getting dry and dusty again on the descent toward the guard rail.

I see the fix on yellow. Good job! 👍 Some sound engineering is at work, here. I can see how the water now has a better path to escape.

Hero dirt every where else on yellow.

So who the heck operates a horse farm in the middle of Martinsville? This guy!

I’ll never own a farm or horses but it’s nice to see someone make their dreams come true.

White, where this pic was taken from, was also pretty much dried up which is a good sign that the rest of the park is in good shape.

Happy riding, my friends.

Other areas needing a trim:
Orange climb from Gilbride, the area above the switchbacks
Blue connector at the east end from lower to upper
White, most of it

I believe we crossed paths at about 2:15 unless there was someone else out there with orange goggles.

Let me know if you clear the trees at cromwell. Otherwise i'll make run up there tonight.

Just go back from the park. Looks like all the reported trees down in Cromwell are cleared (except one on the cinder trail near vosseller ave). The one by the Gilbride lot and one the white trail are cleared.
