I use Dumond Tech freehub grease with success, but I'll take this opportunity to point out--they sell upgrade kits with a small tub of grease that will literally last you the life of the ratchets.

I think I have a spare small can of lube that I can sell for $18.50 if you ask me nicely...

With no real knowledge on biking grease per-se I'd say its probably just a marine grade grease variant. Since I have a boat trailer I have the stuff so I use if for most general applications where the item might ever see water.

i wouldnt use something as thick as marine grease on freehubs/ratchet pawls as you want them to return to the engaged position smoothly and consistently, and the springs in there are not all that strong . . . just my .02.
