Elixer 5

Having some brake issues. I have Elixer 5 on my bike my front brake is binding up after I take the wheel of to transport my bike. What could be wrong with it should I have my LBS check it out the bike is only a month old.:cry:

they don't alow the wheel to spin free for very long. The stops shortly after

Sounds like the caliper is just closing during transportation. Ive never had it happen but I guess its possible. They do make little plastic spacer that go in between the pads. They usually come on new complete bikes that are shipped in the mail. I would ask the shop you bought it from first since its a brand new bike.

never did it before till about 2 days ago

Are you sure your not accidently squeezing the lever, compressing the caliper?

no it did happen once and thats when problem started how do i correct that

Take off the front wheel and spread the pads slightly with either an Avid pad spacer or a flathead screwdriver. Do it gently so you don't mangle the pads.
